The Crestwood Golf team had an amazing season this year, with a 9-1 record for the Varsity team and a 6-4 record for the Junior Varsity team. Furthermore, Varsity team qualified for playoffs.
There is a total of forty golfers on the team, the largest number of golfers Crestwood has ever had. Out of these forty golfers, there are five girls, which is also a record for the Crestwood Golf team. Amongst these girls, Olivia Donnini has had a great first year on the Varsity team. Donnini has been a starter all season and will be going to Individual Districts along with competing at the playoffs. In addition to Donnini, golfers Shane Angle and Michael Golden of the Varsity team, have been consistent performers and are two of the best golfers in the Conference. Key highlights for the Varsity team this year were beating Hazleton twice and Dallas at home.
The golf team could not have done this without the guidance of Mr. Jarolen, Head Crestwood Golf coach, and Mr. Bellas, assistant coach. When asked, Donnini says that “Mr. Jarolen is very nice and helpful. If I have a problem, he knows how to fix it.” Evie Williams agrees, “The golf team was a good experience. Mr. Jarolen and Mr. Bellas both do a great job.”
